(From L to R) Bob Sachar, Donna, Steve Daily, PhD
Donna's main spiritual focus for the past few years is on ascension and raising consciousness for herself and helping others do the same.
She is a great supporter of community education, especially working with children. She looks forward to this coming school year, when KEYS will be launching new programs in the Riverside area.
Donna's motto:
"We don't see the world as it is.
We see the world as we are."
-- Anaïs Nin
Steve is the founder of KEYS Family Resource Center (2001).
With the support of private, public, and corporate funding, KEYS has served various groups in California.
Under Steve's leadership, the Garden Grove SDA church offered an HIV/AIDS support group for Spanish-speaking women.
He has served the incarcerated as a clinical psychologist, a senior pastor, and his earlier days were at La Sierra University as the campus chaplain and professor of religious studies.
Steve's motto:
"My job is to comfort the disturbed
and disturb the comfortable."
Bob has been a spiritual partner with Steve Daily since 2001. He encourages others to have a spiritual partner as well, because he believes it is God's intent that we live in community with each other and with our Divine Creator.
People, especially in this American society, tend to live as satellites floating in outer space alone, rather than as integrated parts of a whole.
Bob envisions new connections between KEYS and various groups in Riverside and beyond as the team works to develop and launch sister programs in California and New York.
Bob's motto:
"It is essential that we see each other as essential."
Janelle first met Steve her freshman year at La Sierra University. She went on to earn her master of public health at Loma Linda University with a dual emphasis on health education and global health.
In 2003, Steve recruited Janelle to run the 1-800-NO-BUTTS smoking cessation program through KEYS. Funding was from the California Department of Health and communities targeted were the English-, Spanish-, Vietnamese-, and Korean-speaking communities in Orange County, CA.
Janelle's motto:
"The truth will set you free, but first it might really make you angry."
(paraphrasing Gloria Steinem)
